At Niche our bike fitting methodology is based in proven biomechanical assessment techniques that have been developed to address the specific needs of any cyclist or triathletes. Custom Bicycles

There are thousands of combinations of frame tube profiles, finishes and decals that enable you to ride a unique bicycle that is created exactly the way you would like, but with the geometry guidance and experience from our teams long history of designing superb handling bikes. Beautiful Custom frames range from $3.6k to $11k, depending on the exotic material levels and total time spent crafting your new machine .The wholistic S.I.C.I fitting process usually takes from two to three and a half hours hours and the fit technician requires this time to guarantee a bespoke quality bike sizing service for you
 
For bike fitting appointments and biomechanical assesments,  a particular bandwidth of time will be scheduled to ensure you recieve the undivided attention of the fitting expert . For this fitting, you will need to have all your normal riding gear you intend to use on your new bike including shoes, pedals, shorts and jersey; plus the current bicycle that you are riding [if this is available at this time].

Semi-Custom Bicycles

Semi-custom are what we call “performance fit ” bicycles.  These special stock bicycles are designed with a more “fit sensible, performance oriented geometry.”  Shortening the top tube and elongating the head tube typically yields a better performance geometry.  However, these changes reduce the market reach of a single frame size because fewer potential riders really fit the frame sizing bandwidths. Bucking the trend we offer many ‘performance fit’ sizes as opposed to major manufacturers who minimize size offerings to reduce manufacturing costs and maximize cost savings.  Semi-custom bikes give more cyclists  the ability to experience expected performance and wonderful ride characteristics at a more reasonable price.

Ready Custom Bicycles

In the market place today, many manufacturers will offer only a handful of stock frame sizes to attempt to fit a wide variety of riders.   At the typical retailer of these bicycles, you may hear the head spinning marketing terms like sloping, compact, virtual top tubes, stand over height, etc.  Over the years most manufacturers and retailers have made the focus of the bike the parts kit and the weight of the bike. These things are easy to identify and change, but to bring to focus on the fit of the athlete and the machine by offering a massive range of well researched geometry requires time, and unfortunately this precious time is what most major manufacturers do not allow space for in their tight fiscal policies.  

Our goal, if a stock geometry frame properly meets your fit parameters, is to ensure that the raft of supporting components, such as the seat, seat post, stem, handlebars fork etc..  are correctly selected to suit you and installed to manufacturers tolerances and specifications.  The models that we carry are available in a multitude of sizes [usually triple the size range of major companies!].  This helps ensure that if you select a stock bicycle, it feels like an extension of each your body and moves in unison with you through every pedal stroke.
